Two new symposia feature articles by Professor Stipanowich

January 30, 2017 -- This week Professor Tom Stipanowich, Straus Academic Director, completed new articles for two different symposia on dispute resolution.

Prof. Stipanowich and Straus LLM alumna Veronique Fraser, Assistant Professor of Law at the University of Sherbrooke (Quebec, Canada) just submitted their article "The International Task Force on Mixed Mode Dispute Resolution: Exploring the Interplay between Mediation, Evaluation and Arbitration" for the Fordham International Arbitration and Mediation Conference.  The article and other writings for the international conference will be published in a special issue of the Fordham International Law Journal.  Stipanowich and Fraser are now at work on a follow-on article.

Stipanowich also just completed the article "Living the Dream of ADR: Reflections on Four Decades of the Quiet Revolution in Dispute Resolution (Symposium Keynote)."  The article is a much-expanded version of themes sounded in his keynote for the Jed. D. Melnick Symposium "The Pound Conferences: Where Do We Come From?  What are We?  Where are We Going?" at Cardozo Law School in November, 2016.  The national symposium highlighted major trends in the field of dispute resolution.  Stipanowich's article will appear in a special issue of the Cardozo Journal of Conflict Resolution.
