Tom Stipanowich Conducts Interactive Workshop at Arizona State Bar Convention

On June 15, Professor Tom Stipanowich conducted an interactive workshop "Mediation in Evolution: Challenges and Opportunities" at the Arizona State Bar Convention.  The program was designed to encourage reflective dialogue on trends in mediation practice, and featured electronic polling and other techniques for engaging more than sixty participants.  The workshop, sponsored by the ADR Section of the Bar, focused on:

1. Ways in which mediation processes are changing, and how to adapt to these changes.
2. Insights gained from recent studies of mediators and participants in mediation processes.
3. Opportunities and challenges associated with using the skills of mediators in the course of ongoing relationships, and the interplay between mediation and other approaches to dispute resolution.
