MCLE Programs
The Straus Institute regularly offers professional education programs for MCLE credit on a full range of dispute resolution topics and advanced applications for mid-career attorneys, judges, and other professionals. One of the most popular of these programs is Mediating the Litigated Case, a six-day program offered in Malibu, West Los Angeles and Irvine, California, as well as in Washington, D.C. Our premier Mediating the Litigated Case⢠40-hour mediation training program equips attorneys and professionals with the sophisticated
negotiation skills needed to transition from adversarial litigation to expert mediation.

Women's Negotiation
Grounded in the latest research on gender dynamics, the Women's Negotiation Academy offers training programs that provide practical tools and techniques participants
can apply immediately. This is a two-day immersive learning experience focusing on
strengthening negotiation effectiveness and is open to everyone.

SELPA Trainings
We've partnered with Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA) Administrators of California to offer Straus-SELPA trainings on alternative dispute resolution (ADR) practices for special education professionals across the state of California to support their capacity to resolve and prevent disputes around special education.
Mandatory CLE Credits
Throughout the year the Straus Institute offers one or two-day conferences that will offer MCLE credit on a variety of subjects. Conferences in the past have included, Doping and the Culture of Sport; Negotiating, Mediating, and Managing Conflict; American Justice at a Crossroads; and Women in Hollywood.
