Professor Chris Goodman Presents "Using Mandatory Retirement to Promote Gender Parity in the Judiciary" -- European University Institute

Professor Christine Chambers Goodman presented "Clearing the Bench: Using Mandatory Retirement to Promote Gender Parity in the Judiciary" at an international conference titled "Gender in the Law and Courts: Uneasy Encounters?" which was held at the European University Institute in Florence, Italy, on November 8. The conference gathered scholars that investigate the tensions between gendered legal classifications and gendered subjectivities. Professor Goodman was selected from a call for papers to present on a panel titled "Gender between Courts and Politics" with participants from the European Union.
