Pepperdine Caruso Law Trial Team Receives Second Place in 2020 National All Star Bracket Challenge

The Pepperdine Caruso Law Trial Team, consisting of third-year students Stolle Voigt, Joshua Upham, and Andreas Moghimi, and second-year students Rebecca Voth, and Karl Kleppe, received second place out of sixty-four teams in the 2020 National All Star Bracket Challenge. The trial advocacy competition featured an NCAA-style bracket and was hosted by St. Mary's Law School with Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, Quinnipiac University School of Law, University of California Berkeley Law, University of California Los Angeles School of Law, and the University of San Diego School of Law. Earlier in the competition, the Caruso Law team received first place for the West Coast Region, and Joshua Upham won a personal award for outstanding advocate during his rounds. The top four teams from each region then competed in a single-elimination "Sweet Sixteen" bracket on October 23-24. The Caruso Law team then advanced to the final round against Stetson University College of Law.
