Ericka Welsh and Jacob McIntosh win Asylum and Refugee Law National Competition
March 7, 2017 | By Kylie Larkin -- Pepperdine Law students Ericka Welsh (3L) and Jacob McIntosh (2L) won the Asylum and Refugee Law National Moot Court Competition. Welsh and McIntosh competed against 23 teams and defeated Columbia Law School in the final round. In addition, Welsh won best oral advocate in the preliminary rounds, McIntosh won second place best oral advocate in the preliminary rounds, and the team won second place best brief. The competition was held on March 4-5 at UC Davis School of Law. The team was coached by Pepperdine Law alumna Wendy McGuire Coats (JD '05).
