Erin Carlson (JD '05) Elevated to Tax Partnership at Lavine, Lofgren, Morris and Engelberg, LLP

Pepperdine Caruso Law alumna Erin Carlson (JD '05) has been elevated to a tax partnership role at the accounting firm of Lavine, Lofgren, Morris & Engelberg, LLP. The firm is San Diego's largest independent certified public accounting firm.

As the head of the firm's trusts and estate group, Carlson guides high-net-worth individuals through both life and posthumous planning. She assists individuals, families and business entities, particularly those with substantial real estate assets, in navigating the complexities of trusts, estate planning and taxation. Additionally, Carlson mentors rising tax and accounting professionals and is a collaborative leader on firmwide initiatives spanning education, recruitment and wellness. Carlson seamlessly integrates her legal and finance backgrounds to better serve LLME's clients and contribute to the education of both the legal and financial industries. She holds a law degree from Pepperdine Caruso School of Law. Although not a CPA, her legal credentials, including admittance to the State Bar of California, and experience qualify her to provide services to the firm’s clients and represent them in front of the IRS.
