January 23, 2016 -- Pepperdine University Provost Rick R. Marrs sent an email update to the Pepperdine community last week:
We continue to make excellent progress with the School of Law dean search. The committee recently met for in-person interviews with several leading candidates and has selected five unranked finalists for consideration. Names will be announced the Thursday prior to their visits. Links to their CV's and biographical information will be posted on the School of Law dean search website.
The following are tentative dates for the five candidates:
-Tuesday, February 7
-Wednesday, February 8
-Monday, February 13
-Tuesday, February 14
-Wednesday, February 22
On each of the dates above, students and alumni are invited to attend the Student and Alumni Town Hall, from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM, in Classroom D. Throughout this process, you are encouraged to send your thoughts and opinions by confidential email to provost@pepperdine.edu.
I would like to thank the search committee for their continuing time, insights, and hard work evaluating these candidates. As a reminder, the committee includes Babette Boliek, Bob Cochran, Rick Cupp, Michael Feltner, Derek Muller, Edna Powell, and Al Sturgeon.
