Washington, DC Professional Skills Series

Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution is pleased to partner with the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law for these programs.

Washington, DC

About the Program

Participants select the courses in which they desire expertise. To provide for personalized instruction, enrollment for each course is limited to ensure a close working relationship among the faculty and participants. Course sessions will include lectures, small group discussions, and practice exercises. Faculty and other participants will also provide performance coaching. The synergy of ideas will provide a truly unique learning experience. Early enrollment is recommended since many of the sessions fully subscribe.  Please click on the courses below to access each course's registration page.  Questions can be directed to Lori Rushford at (310) 506-6342 or e-mail Lori.Rushford@pepperdine.edu.

Please click on the courses below to access each course's registration page.

When the program is posted, listed faculty are confirmed. However, unavoidable scheduling conflicts or illness may prevent faculty from attending. If such an event occurs, Straus reserves the right to have a class go forward with only one faculty if a substitute cannot be found.

Registration for each course is $1,095. Full-time employees of the public sector and non-profit organizations is $795.00.

The public sector/nonprofit rate is for FULL-TIME employees only. Please be sure to list your company address and email on the registration form. You are agreeing that we may contact your employer to verify full-time employment.

Registration includes all course materials and a continental breakfast both days.

CANCELLATION POLICY:  Refunds for participants unable to attend will be granted, minus a $150 cancellation fee, no later than 72 hours prior to the program start date. Substitute participants will be allowed to attend in lieu of a refund.  Refunds for registrations paid by check will require a W-9 form submitted to the University. This is for internal purposes only to generate a refund check. The refund is not taxed nor would a 1099 be issued.

PLEASE NOTE: There is a $50 administrative fee for transferring to another program.
