English Center Partner Programs
International students applying for admission to Pepperdine Caruso Law's Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution are required to demonstrate English proficiency by taking the TOEFL or IELTS exam. For those candidates requiring additional language support, Pepperdine has partnered with two language programs that will allow candidates to demonstrate their language proficiency by completing their designated advanced level, rather than taking the TOEFL or IELTS exam.
UCLA American Language Center
Applicants who successfully complete Level 106 of its Academic Intensive English Program (AIEP) can submit a completion Certificate to demonstrate English proficiency and will not be required to submit a TOEFL or IELTS Score. Program information can be found on the UCLA American Language Center website.
UC Irvine Extension Center
Pepperdine's Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution will waive the TOEFL/IELTS exam for international students studying at UC Irvine Extension Center who have completed the following:
- Completed Level 7 in the 10-week intensive ESL program, or
- Completed the Accelerated Certificate Program, and have received a positive recommendation from ACP staff, or
- Graduated from the International Graduate Studies Preparation Program
Pepperdine may request English program evaluations and the completion Certificate for applicants applying through one of the English partner programs.
