2Ls Emily Sauer and Cameron Fraser win Best Brief at International Moot; Fraser wins Third Best Oralist

April 3, 2017 | By Alexa Brown — After winning the North American Regional Competition, Emily Sauer and Cameron Fraser advanced to the Finals of the Stetson International Environmental Moot Court Competition. Twenty-three teams from around the world--all of which qualified through their respective regional competitions--traveled to Stetson University in Gulfport, Florida, for the International Finals. Ms. Sauer and Mr. Fraser went 4-0 in the preliminary rounds, defeating Brazil, the Philippines, Nepal, and Symbiosis Law School, India. In the quarterfinals, Ms. Sauer and Mr. Fraser lost a closely contested match against National Law University, Jodhpur, India. Pepperdine Law won Best Brief of the competition, and Mr. Fraser won Third Best Oralist. The team was coached by Jeff Belton (JD'05).
