Aria Aghalarpour and Briana Matusovsky Receive First Place at New York City Bar Regional Moot Court Competition

The Pepperdine Caruso Law team of Aria Aghalarpour and Briana Matusovsky received first place, and the team of Tiereney Souza, William Martens, and Bennett Reichard reached the semi-final round of the New York City Bar Regional Moot Court Competition. The competition was held at the Chapman Fowler School of Law on November 10-11.

The first place win qualified Aghalarpour and Matusovsky to compete in the New York City Bar National Tournament, which will take place in New York in January. The national competition is an annual inter-school event co-sponsored by the New York City Bar's National Moot Court Competition Committee and the American College of Trial Lawyers.

The teams were coached by Caruso Law alumni Amber Les (JD '20) and Talia Lux (JD '20).
