Waves Making Waves at Gibbs Giden
For the second year in a row, Gibbs Giden Locher Turner Senet & Wittbrodt LLP, was named in the LA Business Journal's 2020 Most Law Admired Firms. "It's truly a credit to the firm to be named to this list that includes many of the major law firms in Los Angeles," current Managing Partner and Pepperdine Professor Chris Ng (JD '01) said. In addition to Chris, Gibbs Giden boasts a bevy of Waves in their ranks: the firm has a grand total of sixteen practicing attorneys, one law clerk, and the head of marketing who all hail from Pepperdine Caruso Law School.
Of the named partners, William Locher (JD '79), Glenn Turner (JD '80), Richard Wittbrodt (JD '88) are Pepperdine Caruso Law alumni. In addition, the Resident Partner at the Las Vegas office, Richard Haskin (JD '01), the Resident Partner at the Orange County office, Philip Zvonicek (JD '02), and the Resident Partner at the Westlake office, Jason Adams (JD '01), graduated from Pepperdine Caruso Law. Further, the head of the Common Law Community Association Law Department, Partner Matthew Grode (JD '86), and the head of the Employment Law Department, Partner Gerald Griffin (JD '77), are fellow Waves.
Associates that have graduated from Pepperdine Caruso Law include: Michele Ellison (JD '14) and Missy Griffin (JD '18) in the new San Jose office, Nargess Hadjian (JD '19), Johanna Monon (JD '13), and Chris Trembley (JD '11) in the Los Angeles office, Luke Landers (JD '16) in the Westlake office, and Jillian Stevenson (JD '12) in the Orange County office. Notably, Michele just spearheaded the opening of the new San Jose office on September 1, 2020 in the middle of the current pandemic.
