Professor Maureen Weston presents at ABA Section on Dispute Resolution Annual Conference

In April 2016, Professor Maureen Weston presented at the ABA Section on Dispute Resolution Annual Conference in New York, on the topic of Annual Arbitration Law Update. Her co-presenters were Professors Kristen Blankley (Nebraska), Ron Aronovsky (Southwestern), Eric Tuchman (AAA), and Jim Madison, Esq.

About the ABA Section on Dispute Resolution:

The Section of Dispute Resolution, established in 1993, has over 18,000 members. The Section is a global leader in dispute resolution. We advance and promote fair, prompt, and cost effective dispute resolution. We convene, facilitate, and support innovative research, education, debate, and collaboration on dispute resolution policy and practices. The Section holds numerous in-person educational programs throughout the year, including a spring conference, the Arbitration Institute, and the Advanced Mediation and Advocacy Skills Institute. The Section also convenes teleconferences and webinars on topics of interest to members.

Members of the Section can join more than 20 subject-area committees, including Arbitration, Mediation, International, Practice Development, and Ethics. The Section publishes a quarterly magazine, Dispute Resolution Magazine, and a monthly e-newsletter, Just Resolution E-News. In addition, the Section publishes numerous books. Recent titles include The Choreography of Resolution and Sharing A Mediator's Powers: Effective Advocacy in Settlement.
