Trial Advocacy Board Announces 2023 Cross Examination Competition Winners

The Pepperdine Caruso School of Law Trial Advocacy Board is proud to announce the winners of the 2023 Cross Examination Competition. The following advocates earned cash prizes and places on the trial team in the spring:

• 1st Place: Aria Aghalarpour
• 2nd Place: Madeline Enlow
• 3rd Place: Vanessa Mercado

In addition to the three winners, the board would like to recognize the following finalists:

• Tyler Jensen
• Zoie Stanton

The annual Cross Examination Competition took place in the Law School's trial courtroom on November 6. During the competition, advocates conducted a cross-examination of a witness and were judged on various aspects of their persuasiveness, delivery, and creativity. The Trial Advocacy Board congratulates all the participants for their excellence in advocacy.
