Trial Advocacy Board Announces 2021 Cross Examination Competition Winners

The Pepperdine Caruso School of Law Trial Advocacy Board is proud to announce the winners of the 2021 Cross Examination Competition. The following three people earned cash prizes and places on the trial team in the spring:

• 1st Place: Patrick Ballinger
• 2nd Place: Kelly Mahoney
• 3rd Place: Matthew Andrade

In addition to the three winners, the board would like to recognize the finalists:

• William Matthews
• Felicia Forman
• Ashley Lee

The annual Cross Examination Competition took place at Caruso Law on October 28 and 29.  During the competition, advocates conduct a cross-examination of a witness and are judged on various aspects of their delivery.
