Straus LLM Candidate Marcel Woitalla Represents Straus Institute at 2023 International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Reconciliation
Straus LLM candidate Dr. Marcel Woitalla represented the Straus Institute at the 2023 International Institute for Conflict Prevention & Reconciliation (CPR) International Mediation Competition held n São Paulo, Brazil on March 30-April 1. Woitalla served as a judge for the first three rounds and semi-finals of the competition alongside several Straus alumni, including Franco Gevaerd (LLM ‘18), Fabio Kuperman Franco (LLM ‘19), and Lucas Gevaerd (Mediating the Litigated Case participant), as well as Straus adjunct professor Diego Faleck.
Speaking of the experience, Woitalla stated, “It was an honor and pleasure to serve as a competition judge for the CPR competition. It is great that CPR offers students with different backgrounds and academic training such an opportunity to enhance their mediation skills in an international environment. I was very impressed by the level, talent, and curiosity of the teams from five continents. I am thankful for the cross-cultural exchange with dispute resolution professionals from all over the world.”
