Straus Institute Welcomes Visiting Researchers
The Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution hosted a meeting for the Institute of International Education (IIE) and Pepperdine Caruso Law's visiting scholars. The IIE creates cross-border connections between higher education institutions, faculty, and students to cultivate research collaboration, foster diplomacy, and build capacity. This year, the visiting scholars included professionals from Korea, China, and Brazil. The visiting scholars represented a diversity of professions in the legal and governmental sectors, including judges, prosecutors, Korean national and municipal officials, professors, and international attorneys.
The visiting scholars reported to IIE the invaluable opportunity to observe and participate in the Straus Institute's uniquely experiential classes and trainings. Straus managing director Sukhsimranjit Singh discussed with IIE the possibility of future collaborations to bring Fulbright and other international scholars from conflict-affected countries to Pepperdine Caruso Law.
