Racial Justice Seminar Students Present "Tax-Free Status of Colleges and Its Impact on Surrounding Communities"

As their final project in Professor Chris Goodman's Racial Justice Seminar, Pepperdine Caruso Law third-year students Kyra Catanghal, Roland Wiley, and Sean Fox researched and presented "Tax-Free Status of Colleges and Its Impact on Surrounding Communities" to Professor Deanna Newton's Tax Policy class.

The program described the unintended consequences of tax-exemptions for universities on the surrounding communities, focusing on the University of Southern California in South Los Angeles and Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut.
