Racial Justice Seminar Students Present "The Losing War on Obesity"

Pepperdine Caruso Law third-year students Catarina Sinclaire and Pedro Panelo presented "The Losing War on Obesity" for a combined Social Justice Action and Social Justice Colloquium class at Seaver College. They discussed food policy and how farm subsidies and Big Tobacco-type marketing of sodas and processed foods negatively impacts impoverished African-Americans at disproportionate rates.

Sinclaire and Penelo met with about 25 undergraduate students, many of whom are interested in attending law school. They answered the students' questions about LSAT preparation and law school applications.
