Professor Sukhsimran Singh Speaks at Kaplan Lecture on Conflict Resolution

On May 9th, 2019, the Mediation Council of Western Pennsylvania hosted the 16th Annual Kaplan Lecture and invited Professor Sukhsimran Singh as the lecture speaker. The title of the lecture was "Key Lessons in Cross-Cultural Understanding in Conflict and Dispute Resolution." Professor Singh spoke on navigating cross cultural conflict and how upbringing plays into shaping behavior and affecting group dynamics. Additionally, he presented a five-hour conflict resolution workshop at the Conflict Lab in Pittsburgh, headed by Straus adjunct professor Selina Shultz, that focused on the impact individual values and cross-cultural dynamics can have on conflict resolution.
