Professor Stephanie Blondell Presents "Lessons from the World of Clinical Mediation: Skills Building Drills for Mediators" -- Idaho Mediation Association

Professor Stephanie Blondell presented "Lessons from the World of Clinical Mediation: Skills Building Drills for Mediators" at the Idaho Mediation Association (IMA) 2023 Conference. The conference, titled "Building Excellence Beyond All Limits," was held on September 21.

From the IMA Conference program:

Many new mediators tent to make archetypal "new mediator" mistakes. Professor Stephanie Blondell reflects on 25 years of training mediators and clinical education. She will focus on the skills that make the difference. Specifically, what are the most underutilized skills (interest identification and reframing), and what are the most overutilized mediator lines? What are the "slam dunk" mediator techniques that build rapport and close deals? How do you use reality testing to build rapport, rather than detract from your rapport bank account?
