Professor Stephanie Blondell presented "Mistakes Mediators Make" for the State Bar of Michigan Alternative Dispute Resolution Section's 2024 ADR Annual Conference. The conference was held on September 20-21.

Many mediators tend to make archetypal mistakes as they learn, which become bad habits over time. As a profession managing a confidential process, we don't often have the opportunity to see behind the curtain. This training provides a checklist for the seasoned practitioner to reflect on bad habits and best practices and for the new mediator to learn. Join Professor Stephanie Blondell as she shares her experience teaching mediators in litigated cases in law schools, law firms, and court-annexed panels.
