The 1925 Scopes Trial mesmerized our nation and had significant Ohio ties: Defense attorney Clarence Darrow was born in Ohio and prosecutor William Jennings Bryan's daughter lived in Columbus, Ohio. The trial tackled questions that are still relevant today: reason vs. superstition; separation of church and state; 1st Amendment Freedom of Speech in education; and the mythmaking tendencies of American media. Ed Larson will be in conversation with Charles Schneider.
