Professor Colleen Graffy Presents "Putin's War on Ukraine" -- Committee on Foreign Relations
Professor Colleen P. Graffy presented "Putin's War on Ukraine" at the Committee of Foreign Relations in Santa Barbara, California, on March 30. Professor Graffy drew on her experience as a diplomat at the U.S. State Department. As Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Europe and Eurasia, Professor Graffy travelled extensively in Ukraine, including the Donbas region, Kiev, and Odessa, and worked on similar issues when Russia invaded South Ossetia in Georgia.
During her presentation, Professor Graffy drew parallels with Transnistria, the frozen conflict area of Moldova, where she had been to hold a press conference for the Organization of Security and Cooperation for Europe. The presentation was followed by a question and answer session and a reception.
