Professor Colleen Graffy Interviewed on Geneva Summit between President Biden and Russian President Vladimir Putin -- Times Radio UK
Professor Colleen P. Graffy is interviewed on Times Radio UK regarding the Geneva Summit between President Biden and Russian President Vladimir Putin. Professor Graffy describes the meeting as a success but that it was a low bar-- mainly to stop the downward spiral in relations and to open a dialogue on strategic arms security and cybersecurity. She describes President Biden's renewal of US commitment to human rights that "will always be on the table because it is about who we are," and President Biden's framing of Russia's actions undermining human rights as damaging Russia's position in the world.
Professor Graffy also notes that the G7, NATO, and EU meetings that took place before the Geneva Summit allowed President Biden to represent not just U.S. interests, but also the shared values and interests of all of those countries.
