Pepperdine Caruso Law Team Competes in Tulane International Baseball Arbitration Competition 2024

The Pepperdine Caruso Law team of Taylor Jennings (3L), Rachel Trauner (2L), and Matt Hand (3L) competed in the 2024 Tulane International Baseball Arbitration Competition held at Tulane Law School on January 18-19 . The competition, organized by the Tulane Sports Law Society, is a simulated salary arbitration competition closely modeled after the procedures used by Major League Baseball (MLB).

Among more than 50 schools in the competition, the Caruso Law team's arbitration briefs earned them a top seed in the oral advocacy bracket. The Caruso Law team then proceeded through three rounds of hearings in front of baseball front office executives and agents.  Along with strong competition, the event also offered incredible networking events for the competitors to interact with team and player representatives.
