Pepperdine Caruso Law Participates in 2020 AALS Annual Meeting
Pepperdine Caruso Law faculty gathered with fellow law school faculty members, deans, and scholars at the 2020 Association of American Law Schools (AALS) 2020 Annual Meeting that took place on January 2-5 in Washington, DC. The theme of the 114th conference was "Pillars of Democracy: Law, Representation, and Knowledge," which represents the role of legal education in sustaining the institutions of constitutional democracy. Dean Paul Caron and Pepperdine Caruso Law faculty members participated in panels and presentations over the course of the conference that examined the law and its values, elections and representation, and the knowledge institutions of which law schools play an important part. The featured guest of the conference was U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg, who spoke about her life, career, and commitment to the law and legal education.
On Friday, January 3, Dean Caron hosted an evening reception, the law school's first as the Rick J. Caruso School of Law.
