Lawyers and Judges Come Together in Harmony

On Sunday, June 11, Pepperdine Law alumni joined the Los Angeles Lawyers Philharmonic and Legal Voices for the 8th Annual Concert Extraordinaire. This year's program included a salute to Hollywood legend Dick Van Dyke who delighted the audience with three of his most beloved musical performances. The Honorable Curtis A. Kin (Adjunct Professor), Christiane Cargill Kinney (JD '98), Richard Koven (JD '02), and Gillian van Muyden, (JD '94) were on stage as part of the chorus, while Joseph McManus played French horn (JD '17) in this year's memorable production. Kin, a California Superior Court Judge, was also a featured vocal soloist in "Do You Hear the People Sing?" from Les Miserables. According to Van Dyke's reviews, the show was "pretty good...for a bunch of barristers!"

Congratulations to our talented faculty and alumni who performed in this year's spectacular!
