Pepperdine Caruso Law Hosts Mental Health Screening Day
On January 21, Pepperdine Caruso Law partnered with the University Counseling Center to provide an opportunity for students to focus on their mental health by hosting a free mental health screening. Recognizing that mental health issues are inextricably intertwined with academic functioning and spiritual development, the Counseling Center's objectives are supportive of the University's primary commitments and its mission of strengthening student lives for purpose, service, and leadership.
Dean of Students Naomi Goodno expressed, "The event came at a good timeāthe first day back at school after 1L grades were released." The School of Law plans to partner with the Counseling Center to hold a similar event every semester.
Students discussed the primary causes of their stress and then reviewed the ways in which they may choose to cope.
The Counseling Center is open all year long. If you have any questions or would like to set up an appointment, please contact the Center at 310.506.4210 or by email.
