Give2Pepp 2018 Raises the Bar

March 8, 2018 | The second annual Give2Pepp campaign was a smashing success. Give2Pepp is a day dedicated to "generosity for generations." On March 7, we celebrated all things Pepperdine and enabled the success of current and future students by each giving back to our Pepperdine passions during this 37-hour day (in honor of our 1937 founding). Thanks to the generosity of more than 250 individual donors, the law school raised nearly $50,000. The contributions from alumni, current students, faculty, and staff support the Student Emergency Fund, the Dean's Excellence Fund, Moot Court/Advocacy programs, Sudreau Global Justice program, and various student scholarships.

With a $25,000 gift to the Bar Preparation Fund, an anonymous family challenged all current law students to "raise the bar" by supporting their passions within the School of Law. In addition, for every student that gave a gift of $5 or more to his or her unique law school passion, the law school deans, associate deans, and director of development contributed an additional $20 to the Law Student Emergency Fund.

A lunchtime rally that saw professors in dunk tanks and student sumo challenges prompted nearly everyone on campus to get involved and share in an unforgettable day with the entire Pepperdine Law community. Dean Caron called the faculty dunk tanks "a new approach to decanal leadership."

Although #Give2Pepp 2018 has come to a close, it's never too late to give!
