Caelan D. Rottman ('14, JD/MDR '18) Recognized as 2024 Young Distinguished Alumnus of the Year
Pepperdine Caruso Law, Straus Institute, and Seaver College alumna Caelan D. Rottman ('14, JD/MDR '18) has been recognized as the Young Distinguished Alumnus of the Year for 2024. Rottman was honored at Caruso Law's annual breakfast for graduating juris doctor students, which was held on May 16. Rottman, a triple alumna, is a devoted supporter of Pepperdine University and Caruso Law. She received the Pepperdine University Excellence in Service Award for her pursuit of philanthropy, is a founding partner of Caruso Law's 50 For 50 Scholarship Campaign that was launched in 2021, and currently co-chairs the Caruso Law Dean's Council. Rottman practices law at TroyGould Attorneys, specializing in civil and business litigation.
Rottman conveyed to the graduating law students some words of wisdom, such as to zealously advocate for every client, to find mentors and listen to their advice, and to pay attention to what is energizing at law practice. She recommended that students keep in touch with their Pepperdine Caruso Law family, including faculty, administration, and alumni, who are committed to each graduate's success.
Rottman concluded by saying, "To the students, good luck, make your clients proud, and go create your dreams. Congratulations to the Class of 2024!"
