Edrina Nazaradeh (JD '18) Recognized by Beverly Hills Bar Association
June 11, 2018 | Pepperdine Law alumna Edrina Nazaradeh (JD '18) received a scholarship from the Beverly Hills Bar Association (BHBA) and the Beverly Hills Bar Foundation on June 5 in recognition of her commitment to public service. Edrina was one of seven local law students honored at the BHBA's 64th Annual Supreme Court Luncheon, which was held at The Beverly Hilton. Edrina attended with Pepperdine Law Dean of Students, Naomi Goodno. As a Pepperdine Law student, Edrina served in the Philippines with International Justice Mission to prosecute perpetrators of online sexual exploitation, clerked at the L.A. District Attorney and California Attorney General's Offices, externed for Judge Otis D. Wright of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, and was published in the Pepperdine Law Review. Upon graduation, Edrina will clerk for Judge Elizabeth K. Dillon of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Virginia.

Some 250 lawyers, judges and law school students turned out for the 64th Annual Supreme Court Luncheon presented by Beverly Hills Bar Association (BHBA), in conjunction with the Beverly Hills Bar Foundation, honoring the Justices of the Supreme Court of California on June 5, 2018, at The Beverly Hilton. Associate Justices Ming W. Chin, Carol A. Corrigan, Mariano-Florentino Cuéllar and Leondra R. Kruger attended and were recognized for their immeasurable contributions to the State of California. Justice Chin made warm remarks about his fellow Justices and discussed the importance of the Rule of Law and judicial independence. Los Angeles City Attorney Mike Feuer, the featured guest speaker, further emphasized that an independent judiciary should not be subject to influences from any other government branches or political interests. Beverly Hills Mayor Julian Gold, M.D. welcomed the guests. Proceeds from the event benefit the Beverly Hills Bar Foundation scholarship program.
