Dean Paul Caron Joins Other California Law Deans in Letter Requesting California Supreme Court to Retroactively Apply Lower Cut Score to February 2020 Bar Exam-Takers

Dean Paul L. Caron joined other California law school deans in requesting that the California Supreme Court retroactively apply a lower cut score to February 2020 bar exam-takers. The law deans ask that the Court allow bar admission to those who scored between 139 and 144 on the exam. In the July 23 letter, the deans state, "We believe that making the cut score retroactive in, at a minimum, this limited way fulfills the Court's goal of seeking to be fair to those recent graduates who have been adversely impacted by the uncertainties arising from the pandemic."
