Clinical Education Summer Clerkship Applications | Extended to April 10

The deadline to apply for a summer clerkship with the Clinical Education Program is April 10th!

Summer Clerkship at Pepperdine Restoration and Justice Clinic

The Restoration and Justice Clinic (located at the School of Law in Malibu) will offer a part-time summer law clerk program, to begin May 18, 2020. Student law clerks will gain hands-on experience as they provide civil legal services to victims of human trafficking, sexual assault, and domestic violence. Students will engage in legal research and writing, civil litigation, advice and counsel, multidisciplinary collaboration, negotiation, case evaluation and multiple forms of advocacy. Accepted students may choose to earn academic credit, apply for the Public Interest Summer Fellowship, or volunteer. All interested 1L and 2L students are invited to submit a resume and cover letter to Professor Tanya Cooper by April 10, 2020 (tanya.cooper@pepperdine.edu).

Summer Clerkship at Pepperdine Legal Aid Clinic
The Pepperdine Legal Aid Clinic (located in the Union Rescue Mission in downtown Los Angeles) will offer a part-time summer law clerk program, to begin May 18, 2020. Student law clerks will gain hands-on experience as they provide civil legal services to clients of URM, Covenant House Youth Shelter, and other local rehabilitation programs. Accepted students may choose to earn academic credit, apply for the Public Interest Summer Fellowship, or volunteer. All interested 1L and 2L students are invited to submit a resume and cover letter to Professor Brittany Stringfellow Otey by April 10, 2020 (brittany.stringfellow@pepperdine.edu).

Summer Clerkship at Pepperdine Low Income Taxpayer Clinic

The Pepperdine Low Income Taxpayer Clinic (located in the Union Rescue Mission in downtown Los Angeles) will offer a part-time summer law clerk program, to begin May 18, 2020. Student law clerks will gain hands-on experience as they represent clients in IRS controversies. Accepted students may choose to earn academic credit, apply for the Public Interest Summer Fellowship, or volunteer. All interested 1L and 2L students are invited to submit a resume and cover letter to Professor Isai Cortez by April 10, 2020 (isai.cortez@pepperdine.edu).
