Associate Dean of Student Life, Diversity, and Belonging Chalak Richards (JD '12) presented "Best Practices in Crisis/Suicide Prevention: Perspectives from Graduate, Law, Medical, and Post-Graduate Programs" at the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators Annual Conference. The conference took place in Baltimore, Maryland on March 22.

In this highly interactive session, presenters will introduce Early Alert, a theoretically grounded, data-driven approach to crisis/suicide prevention, which includes weekly check-ins with every student and a real-time wellness dashboard highlighting emerging student concerns. Participants will practice data-driven wellness policy design and discuss case studies of Early Alert implementation in graduate, law, medical, and post-graduate programs, serving 6,000 students across 5 institutions.
