Andrew Smith (JD '01) Elected Shareholder of Petit Kohn

January 24, 2018 | Pettit Kohn Ingrassia Lutz & Dolin PC, a leading civil litigation law firm, announced that Pepperdine Law alumnus Andrew O. Smith (JD '01) has been promoted to shareholder.  He will continue the tradition of top-level client service and legal professionalism that are a hallmark of Pettit Kohn.

From Pettit Kohn Ingrassia Lutz & Dolin PC:

Mr. Smith is a shareholder in the firm's Los Angeles, California office.  Andrew joined Pettit Kohn in 2012.  He represents a wide range of businesses and entities.  He focuses his practice primarily in the areas of Business Litigation and Civil and Trial Litigation with a particular emphasis in the areas of commercial, construction, and product liability matters.  He was honored with the Super Lawyers Rising Stars award in 2008 and consecutively in years 2010-2015.  He has extensive litigation experience and has obtained successful results for his clients through jury trials and mediations as lead counsel.  Mr. Smith earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Florida State University, graduating magna cum laude.  Andrew obtained his Juris Doctorate degree at Pepperdine University School of Law, graduating cum laude in 2001.

In addition, Smith has graciously joined Pepperdine Law's mentorship program. An integral part of the Introduction to Professional Formation course, all first-year JD students at Pepperdine Law are automatically enrolled in the Preceptor Program, a program that connects students in groups of two or three to an attorney or judge in the local area. These "preceptors" agree to serve as mentors for the students throughout their first semester of law school.
