Alumni From Class of 2013 Represent Pepperdine Law as Army Captains
November 28, 2018 | Six months after passing the bar exam in 2013, Pepperdine Law alumni Sean Dowsing (JD '13), Brianna Robinette (JD '13), and Nicole Oberjergue (JD '13) were all sworn into into the Army as First Lieutenants. They represented each of the three Army branches: Active component, Army Reserves, and Army National Guard. The three Pepperdine Law alumni attended officer candidate school together in Fort Benning, Georgia, and then JAG school at the University of Virginia. They were the only three candidates that hailed from the same alma mater and graduating class.
Five years later, they are all Captains and all still serve the country. Sean Dowsing recently said, "To large extent, we have Pepperdine to thank for the fortuitous events and camaraderie that enabled us all to join and train together." Dowsing also offered to help any students interested in serving in the military post-graduation. Please reach out to Alumni Director Jessie Fahy to connect with him.
Pepperdine Law salutes our alumni who have served and continue to serve our country. Thank you to Sean, Brianna, and Nicole for your commitment and service.
