Students Secure Judicial Clerkships
Pepperdine University Caruso School of Law has a strong tradition of sending its students and graduates to prestigious judicial clerkships in federal and state courts. Clerkships secured during the 2019-2020 school year include the following:
Jacob Bliss, JD '20, will clerk for Judge Steven Grasz on the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit during the 2020-2021 tem. He will also clerk for Judge Andrew Oldham on the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit during the 2022-2023 term.
Connor Brewer, JD '20, will clerk for Judge Michael Liburdi on the United States District Court for the District of Arizona during the 2020-2021 term. He will also clerk for Judge Danielle Hunsaker on the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit during the 2021-2022 term.
Beau Carter, JD '19, is clerking for Justice Jeffrey Boyd on the Texas Supreme Court during the 2019-2020 term. He will clerk for Judge Jennifer Elrod on the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit during the 2021-2022 term.
Zach Carstens, JD '21, will clerk for Justice Jeffrey Boyd on the Texas Supreme Court during the 2021-2022 term.
Zach Foge, JD '19 is clerking for Judge Barbara Scheper on the Los Angeles Superior Court during the 2019-2020 term.
Sarah Hamill, JD '19, will clerk for Judge Steven Kim on the United States District Court for the Central District of California during the 2021-2022 term.
Zack Horton, JD '20, will clerk for Justice Jeffrey Boyd on the Texas Supreme Court during the 2020-2021 term.
Hanna Jolkovsky, JD '20, will clerk for Chief Judge Gina Groh of the United States District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia during the 2020-2021 term.
Mark Kanow, JD '18, is clerking for Chief Judge Virginia Phillips on the United States District Court for the Central District of California during the 2019-2020 term.
Jacob McIntosh, JD '18, will clerk for Judge Ryan Nelson on the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit during the 2022-2023 term.
Matthew Myatt, JD '19, will clerk for Judge Michael Truncale on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas during the 2020-2021 term.
Olivia Scott, JD '19, will clerk for Judge Louise DeCarl Adler on the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of California during the 2020-2021 term.
Colten Stanberry, JD '19, is clerking for Judge Lavenski Smith on the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit during the 2019-2020 term. He will clerk for Judge Allison Rushing on the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit during the 2021-2022 term.
Matt Stinson, JD '20, will clerk for Judge Kevin Saxby, Anchorage Superior Court, Third Judicial District during the 2020-2021 term.
