Zeke Fortenberry (JD '07) Launches Fortenberry Firm PLLC
June 12, 2018 | Pepperdine Law alumnus Zeke Fortenberry (JD '07) has opened Fortenberry Firm PLLC in Dallas, Texas. Prior to opening his firm, Fortenberry served nine years as a prosecutor where he tried over 150 jury trials ranging from DWI cases to capital murder. Last year, he left the district attorney's office to join a large plaintiff's firm. This year, he is excited to launch Fortenberry Firm PLLC where he will be focusing on representing plaintiffs who have been severely injured. "For my entire career I have represented victims, and at my firm I will continue to give victim's a voice and fight for them in court."
As a seasoned trial lawyer, it is a natural fit. Fortenberry says, "For me, being a plaintiff's attorney and a prosecutor have a lot of similarities. In both roles I represent victims who have been injured and are looking for justice. Also, I continue to bear the burden of proof in trial, and as the moving party I am responsible for moving the case along through the court process." Fortenberry enjoys being able to help victims navigate the judicial system in order to obtain a fair result.
Fortenberry received national attention for winning a conviction in a high-profile kidnapping case.
Additionally, he has been recognized for his personal and professional achievements as one of Pepperdine University's Top 40 under 40 Alumni, found here
