Thomas J. Hutchinson (JD '93) Named Among 10 Best Family Lawyers in California
Pepperdine Caruso Law alumnus Thomas J. Hutchinson (JD '93) has been recognized by the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys, naming him among 2019's "10 Best Family Lawyers for Client Satisfaction" in California. Hutchinson is a partner at Ventura-based Norman Dowler, LLP, specializing in family law litigation, collaborative family law, and mediation.
From the press release:
Hutchinson received his Juris Doctorate degree in 1993, graduating cum laude from Pepperdine University School of Law. He also has a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology and philosophy from Western Michigan University, where he graduated cum laude from the Honors College in 1976.
A civic leader, Hutchinson is a member of the Ventura County Bar Association, past president of the Ventura County Family Law Bar Association, and a member of Collaborative Family Law Professionals of Ventura County. He also is active in Rotary International and is a member and past president of The Rotary Club of Ventura.
Happily married to his wife Brenda, Hutchinson believes deeply in what he practices. "There is nothing more precious in life than family," he said.
Hutchinson's passion for his practice was surely a factor in his being named to the AIOFLA list. One of the most significant aspects of the selection process involves attorneys' relationships and reputations among their clients.
"As clients should be an attorney's top priority, AIOFLA places the utmost emphasis on selecting lawyers who have achieved significant success in the field of family law without sacrificing the service and support they provide," the AIOFLA stated in announcing its 2019 list. "Selection criteria therefore focus on attorneys who demonstrate the highest standards of client satisfaction."
