Straus Students Translate Theory into Practice at the United Nations

Straus students, Fernando Hoffmann (LLM '19) and Yingying Hong (MDR '19), secured externships with the United Nations Ombudsman and Mediation Services. Mr. Hoffman's externship is still in progress, while Ms. Hong completed her term and gave a presentation to Straus students on her work with the governing body. Additionally, Straus alumna Natalia Borta (LLM '16), also serves as a post-graduate extern within the same office.

Externships are an integral part of the Straus curriculum, as it helps students gain first-hand experiences into careers in dispute resolution and build professional contacts. Our students have pursued externships across Southern California, the United States, and indeed the world. If you are an employer with an available externship position, please contact Joanna Reese at joanna.reese@pepperdine.edu for further information.
