Restoration and Justice Clinic Successfully Represents Client

April 10, 2018 | Pepperdine Law third-year students Marcanne Hyjek and Jeremy Vitug recently won a contested trial with opposing counsel at the Santa Monica Courthouse. Hyjek and Vitug successfully obtained a three-year restraining order for their domestic violence client.

The Restoration and Justice Clinic provides legal services to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and other gender-based crimes. Students provide comprehensive litigation services for clients emerging from abusive, violent, and coercive relationships while gaining intensive, client-centered experience in case development, hearing and trial practice. Clinical education opportunities are also a reason that preLaw Magazine, a National Jurist publication, identifies Pepperdine Law as a top university for practical training.
