Professor Ed Larson Presents "American Inheritance" -- Virginia Festival of the Book

Professor Edward J. Larson presented "American Inheritance" at the 29th annual Virginia Festival of the Book.  The festival, which brings together writers and readers to promote and celebrate books, reading, literacy, and literary culture, took place on March 23-26.

Edward J. Larson is the author of American Inheritance and many acclaimed works in American history, including the Pulitzer Prize winning history of the Scopes Trial, Summer for the Gods. He is a professor of history and the Hugh and Hazel Darling Chair in Law at Pepperdine University.

In “American Inheritance: Liberty and Slavery in the Birth of a Nation, 1765-1795,” Edward J. Larson grapples with the legacy of enslavement in America.
