Tala Tajbakhsh, Josephine Klein, Daniel Foster, Pedro Panelo, and Fiona Higgins

Pepperdine Caruso Law is pleased to congratulates Tala Tajbakhsh, Josephine Klein, Daniel Foster, Pedro Panelo, and Fiona Higgins for post-graduate employment success!

Tala Tajbakhsh is currently a law clerk at Brown and Dahan. Tala will continue to clerk for the firm through her bar study and will become an associate attorney upon passing bar results.

Josephine Klein will be a post-bar clerk with an associate attorney offer pending the bar results at Wood, Smith, Henning, & Berman. Josephine found the position through the Career Development Office's Spring On-Campus Interview Program.

Daniel Foster will be working as an associate attorney at Betts Austin Johnson, PLLC., a transactional business planning firm in Bellingham, Washington. Daniel learned about the position through personal connections. He grew up in an agricultural community across the state in Washington and was connected to the name partner due to his representation of various fruit companies.

Pedro Panelo will be an assistant commonwealth attorney at the Fairfax Commonwealth Attorney’s Office in Virginia. Pedro pursued the position since he is from the Fairfax County area and is looking forward to returning to serve his community.

Fiona Higgins will be pursing an LLM in tax at Georgetown University. Fiona considers herself lucky to find Professor Deanna Newton in her third year at Caruso Law, who motivated her to pursue a career in tax law. After earning an advanced degree, Fiona wants to fight for equality and social justice in the tax world since the interests of low-income individuals and minorities are often not considered when tax policy is written. In order to combat this injustice, Fiona would like to push for tax reform that is more equitable and benefits communities in need instead of lining the pockets of corporations. She is thrilled to attend Georgetown in the fall and knows that their program will equip her with the necessary skills and knowledge to combat injustice in the tax code.

Congratulations to Tala, Josephine, Daniel, Pedro, and Fiona for their well-earned positions!
