Pepperdine Caruso Law Congratulates Shayna Elian, Deepika Chandrashekar, Ashley Lee, Jennifer Chor, and Bazil Cunningham
Pepperdine Caruso Law is pleased to congratulate Shayna Elian, Deepika Chandrashekar, Ashley Lee, Jennifer Chor, and Bazil Cunningham for post-graduate employment success!
Shayna Elian will be a post-bar law clerk at Children’s Law Center, where she will represent abused and neglected children in dependency cases. Children's Law Center uses an informed approach to advocacy to fight for their clients’ best interests and re-unify families. Shayna worked for Children's Law Center during her first-year summer and loved the team so much that she kept in touch and applied for the post-bar position.
Deepika Chandrashekar will be working as an associate attorney at Martin Law Firm in Irvine doing employment defense. She became interested in employment law after taking professor Steve Schultz’s employment law course and externing at an employment law firm throughout law school. She found the position on Symplicity.
Ashley Lee will be joining the Special Prosecutions Section of the California Attorney General's Office through their Honors Program. After preparing for months, she applied for the Honors Program directly with the Attorney General's Office in October and was offered a position in December. Ashley realized being part of special prosecutions was her absolute dream job after working as a law clerk with the section from May to December, 2023. Ashley is especially grateful to everyone she worked with on the trial team, her evidence professor Tim Perrin, and the deputy attorney generals she worked with for giving her the support and skills she needed to receive multiple post-bar offers with various prosecutorial agencies.
Jennifer Chor will be a post-bar law clerk with Liang Ly LLP. She will be primarily working on complex business litigation and white collar crime defense. Jennifer met one of the firm's partners during her first-year at Caruso Law's online speed mentor jet event. She stayed in touch with the partner throughout law school and saw him frequently at law networking events. When Jennifer reached out to him to get his advice about finding a post-graduate job, he made her an offer to come work at his firm.
Bazil Cunningham will be an associate in-house counsel at W2E LLC, an international renewable energy company. The company focuses on the system-critical infrastructure and sustainable generation infrastructure segments of the renewable energy industry to deliver bio-chemical operations and renewable energy management solutions. Bazil will be doing transactional work, including contracts, dispute resolution and negotiation, international law, and environmental dispute resolution. He found the position through a personal connection.
Congratulations to Shayna, Deepika, Ashley, Jennifer, and Bazil for their well-earned positions!
