Bernie James to speak at National Association of School Resource Officers school safety conference

May 12, 2016 -- Professor Bernard James will provide a national school law update at the 26th annual global conference of the National Association of School Resource Officers (NASRO).  The annual conference provides education and networking opportunities to school resource officers and other law enforcement officers, as well as school security and safety officials, school board members, administrators and others interested in school safety. The conference will take place July 10-15, 2016, in Anaheim, California.

Bernie James, a professor at Pepperdine University, is a contributing editor to the NASRO Journal of School Safety. He specializes in Civil Rights, Constitutional Law, and Education Law, and is author of the textbook Education Policy and the Law: Cases and Commentary and numerous articles on law, education, and religion. He lectures in the United States and Canada on constitutional issues, and serves as a commentator for the national and local media discussing U.S. Supreme Court decisions.
