Nathaly Medina (JD '19) Visits Pepperdine Caruso Law to Discuss Housing as a Human Right

Pepperdine Caruso Law alumna Nathaly Medina (JD '19) returned to the school of law to discuss housing as a human right with her brother, Stephano, a current law student at UCLA. Nathaly and Stephano spoke to students about the housing market and affordability crisis that is displacing individuals and entire communities in the Los Angeles area. Both Nathaly and Stephano are working to preserve the unique and diverse identity of Los Angeles and to prevent homelessness.

Nathaly, who recently passed the California bar exam, is a practicing attorney at the Eviction Defense Network. The Eviction Defense Network is a nonprofit community organization dedicated to protecting the right to decent, safe, sanitary and affordable housing. The organization serves households facing eviction in Los Angeles.

The program was hosted by the National Lawyers Guild, which Nathaly co-founded at Pepperdine Caruso Law while she was a student.
