Monica Spilman wins 2017 Cipolla Closing Argument Competition

April 10, 2017 -- From the Trial Advocacy Board:

The Trial Advocacy Board is proud to announce the winners of the 2016 Otto Cipolla Closing Argument Competition

• 1st Place, $1000 & Audience Favorite = Monica Spilman

As all the advocates were absolutely great, the judges could not say anyone got third place - so we have a tie for second:

• 2nd Place, $500 each = Aaron Eslamboly and Grace Waddell

Additionally, Professor Caldwell was so impressed, he offered all six finalists a position on Pepperdine Law's Trial Team!   Shelby Baker, Aaron Eslamboly, Sarah George, Kyler Kelly, Monica Spilman, and Grace Waddell.

We'd like to thank all participants in helping make the competition as successful as it was.  Your creativity and passion was remarkable.
