La Unidad Latina MPOWERing DACA Students Scholarship 2019

Due: April 15, 2019 | These scholarships are sponsored by MPOWER, and La Unidad Latina Foundation, two organizations specializing in supporting higher education for DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrival) students.

One $3,000 scholarship and two $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to DACA recipients who have been accepted to, or are enrolled at, an MPOWER partner university (Pepperdine University).

These scholarships are aimed at the full-time undergraduate or graduate student who has completed at least two years of undergraduate study (in any major) and has a GPA of 2.8 or higher. In addition to completing the online application form, applicants are asked to write a 750 word essay in response to a prompt asking them to describe their career goals and vision for empowering and advocating for the DREAMer and DACA community.
